Weekend Outings

We've tried to take advantage of weekends with 'just James', planning little outings here and there. A few weeks ago there were two local events that we thought he'd enjoy; a multi-cultural festival and another event called "Touch-A-Truck".

We've attended this event every year we've been married. Every country represented at the festival has a booth that serves ethnic foods from that culture.....we always plan to go hungry and eat our way around the world! :) Mark remembered these 'samboosas' (sp?) from Kenya so we started there!

Here we were watching the parade of flags...and waiting to meet up with friends.

Here we are at Touch-A-Truck with my parents. That's exactly what James got to do; touch trucks! It was crazy packed with toddlers and little ones rushing this way and that to see all of the big vehicles.

James is showing us how 'strong' he is after getting a rub on tattoo on his arm. It's amazing how long that thing lasted before washing off completely!!
Possibly James' favorite truck; a firetruck! They were even handing out red hats!

Love the pic of J flexing his muscles!!! So cute! What a fun event - touching tractors and trucks! Every little boy's dream!

Did I tell you I went to a tractor pull recently?

First, samosas are delicious! I remember eating them when I lived in Kenya. Second, you should get James the series of children's books on John Deere tractors. He would love it!
